Why Register On Level 2?

Telemarketing companies can and do quite legally run campaigns that have just a 1% response rate – for every 1 person who is interested in their offer, 99 people who are not interested in their offer are disturbed by an unwanted call.

You may have registered on the Telephone Preference Service, however the regulators haven’t been given the resources to follow up individual complaints – even if you can prove that a company has broken the law. They can only monitor the complaints that they receive, and go after the worst offenders.

Furthermore, organisations who have your permission, market researchers or companies based overseas are entitled to call you  unless you have previously told them specifically that you object to them processing your data for marketing purposes.

Section 11 of the Data Protection Act allows you to exercise your rights, however you will require proof that your objection was sent and received. This proof compels  the company to respect your wishes and comply with legislation.

trueCall On Dragons Den!

Wednesday, July 15th, 2009

The trueCall device was aired on Dragons Den tonight.

Steve Smith went into the den requesting an investment of £100,000 for just a 7.5% stake in trueCall.

After a flurry of offers from all of the dragons with competition high in the den, Steve accepted an offer from Peter Jones for 12.5% of trueCall.

trueCall is a nuisance phone call blocker that Peter Jones, of Dragon’s Den fame, rates as his favourite gadget according to a recent T3 article on 26th June 2009.

The trueCall device stops all unwanted nuisance calls, including calls from salesmen, call centres and people who you simple don’t want to talk to!

The trueCall call blocker is not much bigger than a basic corded telephone and works by simply plugging into your home phone line. It then checks each call to your phone before letting your phone ring, and thus, blocks all unwanted calls.
